Has anyone used a DAP (dog appeasing pheromone) necklace?
My silky terrier is terrified of storms and rain, and it is becoming getting worse. I can not get into a vet appointment for another week, so I thought I could try a DAP collar, which supposedly mimics the pheromones the mother dog. Does anyone else use it? Any other suggestions?
havnt used a string of DAP, have used the DAP diffuser plugged in with the dog of parents who used to get really stressed about many things (he was badly abused when we found him) seemed to help. Also try to appear to hide the tv ect thunder. In the long run, maybe try a CD acclimatization, you can get used to the thunder or fireworks etc. Talk to your veterinarian, you can get some tips phone? Could someone take it the vet for you?
