Caucasian Mountain Dog: Dog With uncanny resemblance to the bear
The Caucasian Mountain Dog also known as the Caucasian Ovtcharka is an ancient breed that for centuries was little known outside the remote regions of that coming, namely the Caucasus which incorporate: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Iran and Turkey. Until the early 1930, Caucasian Ovtcharka was little known outside its home range, until it began to appear in European dog shows in Germany. Around 1952, the dog Caucasus mountain was subdivided into two distinct races: the Transcaucasian Ovtcharka usually the heavier bones, a huge dog that comes from mountainous regions and the European Ovtcharka, less bulky type that originates in the steppe regions.
In 1976 the two sub-races were consolidated and reclassified as a race, and these days The Caucasian Mountain Dog is expected to conform to a single standard. Be that as it may, however, the various sub-breeds can still be differentiated by regions the different territories of the former Soviet Union and now one of the most coveted Mountain Dog Caucasian type is called sub-race of Georgia that characterized by thick, heavy-boned, massive dog that most closely resembles a bear.

Temperament
This dog breed was developed to protect the herds and livestock and therefore an inherent strong guard / protector trait. As much as a family dog Border Collies tend to herd his family as a flock of sheep replacement, the Caucasian Mountain Dog will tend to be somewhat protective of his immediate family, a feature that has obvious benefits, but such less obvious consequences. The Caucasian Ovcharka is a strong character (some would say stubborn) breed of dog that requires a firmer hand for the proper socialization and training. The stubborn nature of this type called the dog is not surprising when one considers that it has been bred for hundreds of years for these exact qualities.
This dog was bred to be largely independent of the people (except your pastor) and raised to coexist with livestock who cared, so the mountain Caucasus breed of dog is inherently wary of strangers be they people or animals. As expected, the Caucasian Ovtcharka is most active at night (predators cattle tend to hunt in the dark of night) and although it may give the impression that it is a big lazy dog dozing at the slightest hint of intruders dog Caucasus Mountain swiftly come to their feet, sounding the alarm (barking) and immediately go to meet the threat!
The Caucasian Ovcharka takes the protection of its territory (in these days believe that the patio of the family) very seriously and will consider any intrusion of a foreigner as a threat. Despite its formidable size this dog is characterized by the use of minimum force to deter any threat. Such a force can take the slightest chance of facing a predator and barking and growling aggressively, that's usually enough to change the minds of most outsiders because much like their wild counterparts canine, dog breed still retains the old mindset that physical (or deadly) force should be a last resort as it tends to be counterproductive (ie, a harm to either party).
Any good with children?
As noted this breed of dog tends to replace the immediate family to the cattle breeding selectively to protect, that is, this dog is highly protective of their family members. Therefore it is important to understand that this dog could feel naughty boy game or rough between a family member and a friend (as is the trend with children) as a threat and protect the genetic wiring "the herd" immediately begin in!

The weight of males is 100 pounds + (45 kg - 70 kg)
Female Weight: 80 pounds + (37kg - up)
Note that for the Raza Kavkazskaya Ovcharka (Caucasian Mountain Dog Georgia sub-race that most closely resembles a bear) the required dimensions differ considerably:
Height of male: 28.3 to 29.5 inches (72cm - 75cm, 68cm or minimum is 26.8 inches)
Female Height: 26.0 to 27.2 inches (66 cm - 69 cm and a minimum of 64 centimeters or 25.2 inches)
Naturally, the weight of the Race Kavkazskaya Ovcharka tend to be slightly heavier It is not unusual for men of 180 pounds up!
The Caucasus Mountain Dog falls into the category of working dogs as a livestock guardian dog (LGD).
