Untrustworthy dog?
I have a wonderful 2 years old male German Shephard. I thought I have it for 6 months and I can not trust him near of my cattle. In the past it has captured 2 chicken (plucked not kill) and a nasty little wound in the back of a pony. Other then this is great. We have entered nursing homes nursing and primary schools. He is a certified therapy dog. I tried several things and they all seem to work temporarely. I would obedicne weekly classes and working outside the belt. I have a surprise romote collar. We had some of those lessons well. The problem is after a few weeks he has to "kill" look on his face. The chickens that can work around, I only have them at night. The horses, so you know how you can get to run. The time he bit the pony was tied and frightened horse right into their circle. I only tied in the barn, the rest of the time it is loose and live at home with me, going to work with me and so on. Any suggestions?
