Your dog poop eating coprophagia dog is a habit that makes no sense to us is the dog owner.
It is a habit that is most prevalent races in puppies, and some are also more susceptible to it than others. Many Shih Tzu owners including me struggle with this disgusting poop eating habit.

There are many theories and opinions about why a dog that bothers to eat poop. Finding the cause of their habit of eating dog poop is the key to determining the correct solution.
When dogs eat poop is not only embarrassing for us owners, but also can cause diseases and worms that are transmitted to your dog.
Why do not dogs eat poop?
There are two general causes of coprophagia dog
1. Dog behavior problem.
2. This could mean that your dog has an underlying medical problem.
More specific reasons why dogs eat poop
- It is well known to your dog! I know it makes sense to me either, but this is the main reason young puppies to eat their droppings.
- Your puppy may have a deficiency of vitamins or minerals and is trying to correct the balance through eating poop.
- Could be the result of anxiety or boredom.
- Some dogs that are fed by eating his own feces because food has been digested. Therefore feces still smell and probably know a dog's dinner.
- Your dog may eat his own shit when it comes to clean your area. This task should be performed by the owner of the dog.
Solutions To Stop Your Dog Eating poop
- Feed well-balanced meal and nutritious. No more feed.
- Keep dogs living area clean of feces.
- If possible, try to feed twice a day. Feed the same amount but only in two parts. This works for dogs who eat poop through hunger.
- Add a little pineapple or spinach to your dogs meals. When your dog will eat their droppings, apparently, it tastes horrible to him after eating the pineapple or spinach.
- Teach basic commands obedience "off." Proper obedience training eliminates almost all behavior problems, including coprophagy.
- If your dog eats his poop immediately after removal, provide a distraction. As soon as your dog does the business to flee the area and call the doctor. This should be sufficient to get your mind off the stern. When it becomes safe to praise and reward him.
If you believe that an underlying medical condition that is causing your dog to eat poop, please visit your veterinarian for a complete examination. The techniques described above do not help the dogs that need medical attention.
