88 years and uses a walker difficulty "safely" stoop to feed your dog?
My dad is 88 years old and uses a walker. Has difficulty in "security" of flexion to food and water to your dog Bischon. Feeders ate looked high, but really do not think that will solve the problem. What I think he really needs is a kind of platform that can be prepared from a standing position and then lowered to the floor for the dog. Someone has any ideas? Henry Lebanon PA
Why not build a platform for the dog to eat from? I mean a platform large enough to allow surely the dog to jump up and eat. You can do this with very low-cost plywood. His father certainly can bring food and water down and your dog may only jump up there with food and drink? The other thing that might work here is a feeder of time if your father is fed dry food. There are several of these on the market and you could use for just once a week. Perhaps a relative or neighbor would fill it? Make similar troughs for dogs, too. Does your father have access any church or community services? Maybe you can stop and help with feeding and drinking?
