If you have a veterinarian who has seen his dog before, you may request a mild sedative proper (I know the name but I prefer that you called your vet for this). It is regularly given to dogs and cats before a visit to the vet, if you are the kind that actually get worked. Also for nail trimming and grooming problem where the dog / cat is too hard to handle. And it's not so expensive, and you may take a few ornaments for nails in the future. Please call your veterinarian and give no medicine, especially human Xanax.
