Why am I getting thumbs down when I suggested the theory of leader of the pack to other dog owners?
Is not it ... who has worked with my puppy ....
Many people think their pets "think like humans have trouble comprehending dynamic behavior of real animals. I'm always the alpha pack leader with any trash or a dog that I work with, from the moment none of my dogs are I start training them weaned. I set up the domain in the hierarchy by using food, teach the dog to listen and take me byhand signals or movements body language. I can use the technique of mouthing, which means to push the puppy and put teeth into his neck and keep them there until deposited they stop growling or move. Will not hurt them, but says I am the boss and can whip you. It's like a mother dog teaches her offspring. If I catch one of my puppies trying to make above where I have set aside in the yard. (Yes I can mark my territory too) I have a cup of my urine and pour it up higher then the his in the fence post or shrub. This re-establishes that I'm bigger and stronger and shows my scent and I am able to do things they can not. When lunch time I sit on the patio with them and feed them by hand. I like first or fake and if one of the cubs try to Bogart in the food, nor of me, I push him back and feed the quieter first and I keep doing this until the puppy mellows greedy. I take my puppy for a walk (we have always lived out side the city limits so far) and use hand signals to teach the puppy to be quiet, sit still and watch and wait until it issued an order that says we can go below. This teaches aa pay attention to my body and its movements, because I'm the boss or the leader of the pack. I know for sure that if it can establish that you are the leader your package to your dog's life for you and will follow you wherever you go and respond to your commands, not only because they are larger, but because it is pack and that means family to me .. Dogs easily follow my orders because they know that I am the leader and trust me as I do. I've never had to do harm or restrain any dog I trained because I can easily control the situation. I had manydogs that were dumped on me because others thought they were bad or say, but even when more, this method can work well, it takes more time, but I made lifelong friends with several dogs .. I have worked with German shepherds, mastiffs, Great Danes, American dingo, wolf and Rotty hybreds various mixes and even a few dogs that had small intestine fortatude to hang with the big dogs .. I like the method of the package personal. Hope this helps. Just remember that what works for you may not work for another because they do not feel comfortable with you ... the method then in other side of that, if it works for you, then use what is right for you and ignore the nay Sayers who want to poo poo any idea, but his own ..
