Over the years, pets have become famous for all different reasons. We know pets famous television, film, policy and even their famous owners. Depending on your age you can remember everyone's favorite German Shepherd, Rin Tin Tin. The original Rin Tin Tin was a puppy found by an American soldier in France during World War I The dog became famous for being in movies. In the 1950s a television program based on this dog became popular.
Another famous company from the 1950s was the beloved Lassie. Lassie was on TV from 1954 to 1973. The female Lassie is actually played by several men collies, all related to the original dog, Pal. Girl for the first time to life as a main character in a short story writing in the Saturday Evening Post in 1938. This led to the book "Lassie, Come Home" and the movie of the same name.
There were the famous horses television too. We probably all remember Mr. Ed the talking horse. Of course only owner Mr. Ed Wilbur heard. Mr. Ed was played by a horse Palomino. Coaches Mr. Ed has moved his lips as if talking to him peanut butter. The comedy was on television from 1961 to 1965. The famous cowboy Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger performed together for over 25 years. Another popular TV show of the 1950s was The Lone Ranger. He was a fighting Texas quarterback crime in the Old West. He had a big white horse named Silver.
Some more famous in recent television and film animals include White Fang, on the journey of a wolf-dog through the territory of Yukon during the gold rush, and who could forget Hooch from Turner and Hooch? Turner, played Tom Hanks was a neat freak that got stuck with a dog of a murder victim. Hooch was played by a Dogue de Bordeaux, which is a type of mastiff. Of course Hooch was a big slimy mess. In the film, Hooch gives his life to save Turner.
In more recent television, we get to know Eddie, Jack Russell terrier Frazier, and since the 1980s, Zeus and Apollo, the Doberman Pinscher from Magnum PI Some of my favorite pets are television pictures Animated. Think of Dino the dinosaur of the Flintstones. Dino barked like a dog, running like a dog licking his face and catching sticks. In fact, Dino was a dog, was a snorkasaurus. Do not forget to Astro, the Jetsons' dog. Elroy he finds the stray dog and brings it home. Elroy course not allowed to hold up the Astro dog saves family a thief. John Quincy Adams had a Crocodile in the bathroom of the White House. It was a gift from the Marquis de Lafayette. Calvin Coolidge had raccoons running around the White House.
