Plan Your Walking Program Today. Take your dog with you

Do not wait to start a walking program. Start today! Brisk walking is a of the safest forms of exercise and one of the healthiest forms of exercise. It's a proven fact that a brisk walk helps reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer breast cancer and type 2 diabetes.

Brisk walking is also beneficial for your dog, not only for health reasons, but every dog has to exercise! It keeps not only health, but happy and trouble free. A dog is not to sit and lie around all day.

Walking also helps reduce weight, especially if you make a lifestyle change to eat healthier foods.

One problem with walking is that you are in a foot-zeal, and make walk the same again and again. A walk can take the vivacity bored right out of it. Therefore, change your walking habits and start planning a walking program that is beneficial to you, and again, take your dog along. I'm sure your dog is in much need of a ride like you.

Be careful of your technique. If you are walking on fitness, you should be able to walk a mile in fifteen minutes, or walk for about an hour. Create a plan for a walk beneficial for you and your dog!

"Walk straight, do not slouch, as I am sure your mother taught you.
"Bend your arms and pump them while walking. This situation exercise your cardiovascular system and allowing you to walk at a faster pace, for a time period.

Walking at this pace should take you about 70-80% your target heart rate. Discuss this with a professional.
Turn your foot into a regular exercise. Both you and your dog will benefit greatly from this.

Other small things you can do while on his way to help tone your body and improve your health.
-Stomach. While walking, pull in the stomach during few seconds and then relax again. Do this a few times during your walk. (I just read on this point)
-Thighs. Plan your foot so that you will walk or up a flight of stairs (My entry to the park actually has a ladder long enough), or up a hill.

You also want to remain motivated. One way to do this is the plan for different routes. Do not get so much into a walking routine in the same way every time. And, take a look around you. Do not just go walking speed through a beautiful park and always stay on the paved sidewalk. Walking on the grass beside the stream in the forest. You will receive an incredible sense of calm and your dog will be closer to nature. You can exercise and enjoy nature at the same time time.

Sometimes, walking alone, only you and your dog. Other times, see if you can find some friends (including their dogs) and are in one package.

Get the appropriate footwear. This is very important. Also, make sure your dog is not exercised, especially in summer. Bring plenty of water for you and your dog. If you are walking in the winter, have much careful with the shoes, make sure you have a lot of traction. Dogs can slip and break their legs as well as we can. And most of the time can not survive a badly broken leg. Thus, we have different rules for exercising your dog in the snow or ice. Be very careful. In fact, I would say that do not take when snow and ice could be harmful to them.

And if you have to walk in darkness, lots of brightly colored clothing, including a flashlight. Get neon leash / collar for your dog. And, do not walk in a single isolated area. Go in groups. Remember, a walking routine is to benefit you and your dog, but make sure that is a hard day, a safe area and a safe time to walk.

And, always consult a health professional, for both you and your canine companion.
Enjoy!
