series of books for children on an abandoned mansion, jewel thieves, and children determine the place ...?
... And having a charity event. I read in the 70s. There were 5-7 books with brown covers. The first book had to do with the abandoned mansion and jewel thieves. Then the series continued with the children cleaning up the abandoned mansion and there was a charity ball (possibly costumed) there. I believe that an elderly woman who could have crown in the house had attended, and for some reason missing emeralds sticks out in my mind. I remember there was a library at home, and there were thick bushes between the house children and the mansion. I also remember that took place in a town where there were no docks. Trixie Belden is facing what promises to be a boring summer. His older brothers are away at camp, leaving only Trixie with her younger brother, Bobby, to play with. As Trixie despair, she horses notices that led to the block in the mansion next door. Trixie is thrilled when he learns that the Beldens new neighbors, including a girl her age. Most importantly, have horses! Trixie becomes very fond of his new neighbor, Honey Wheeler. The groom Wheelers' Regan, Trixie teaches how to ride a horse, Trixie and Honey teaches cycling. Girls Frayne investigate the nearby farm after learning that old Mr. Frayne is in the hospital and realize that is a prowler in the house. The Frayne young girls meet Jim, who has fled his stepfather said. Through a series of adventures, the girls help Jim find their heritage and develop a plan that save him from returning to his stepfather. Unfortunately, Jim disappears before the girls can tell your plan. # 2 The Red Trailer Mystery Miss Trask comes with Trixie and Honey Wheelers 'Trailer, Silver Swan, in search of Jim Frayne. Jim Honey expected to be found and that their parents want to adopt it. Honey wants a brother more than anything in the world. Shortly after his departure, the girls meet the poverty-stricken family Darnell, traveling on a red camper that looks vaguely familiar to Trixie. Darnell Joeanne escapes by his family for something his father has done, for what Trixie and Honey find for her while searching for Jim. The girls are still many false trails that end up taking them to trailer thieves instead of Jim or any Joeanne. After a bold confrontation with the robbers, Trixie and Honey finally discover both Jim and Joeanne. The girl reunited with his family and learns that his father did nothing wrong, but only borrowed the red trailer until he could find a job. Trixie realizes the trailer belonging to Diana Lynch's family, so I was familiar. After a meeting with parents nervous honey, Wheeler and Jim both agreed that Jim should be adopted by the Wheeler family. Gatehouse Mystery # 3 Trixie and Honey explore the old guard house in the woods of Wheelers' property with Trixie's brother, Bobby. As is typical, Bobby trips and falls, hurting himself. At first thought Bobby Trixie was cut into a piece of glass, but honey identified the stone as a true and more Diamond valuable asset. Trixie is convinced that the robbers hid in the guard house and accidentally dropped the diamond. Neither honey nor Jim agreement with the crazy idea generated by the vivid imagination of Trixie. Soon, however, take stock in the history of Trixie when someone tries to steal the diamond from the jewelry box in which placed. Trixie brothers Brian and Mart, the return of summer camp and find the history of the diamond rather difficult to believe. They make fun of Trixie, but change their minds when learn more about the situation. As young people plan how to proceed, decide to join as a semi-secret club, the Bob-Whites of the Glen. The Bob-white put a plan into action to catch the diamond thief in the act, and after several terrifying events, the jewel thieves are brought to justice # 4 Mysterious Visitor Lonely Diana Lynch is invited to spend the weekend at Wheelers' the mansion. The Bob-Whites find that Diana is concerned about your uncle long lost completely new, Monty, who is staying with the Lynches. Say Uncle Monty hates and feels like he is trying to control your life and make it miserable. The Bob-white I invite you to become a member of your club and do everything possible to take your mind off your problems. The Bob-White Di help plan a Halloween costume party in home, but all his plans go to waste when Uncle Monty took over as master of ceremonies. During the party, Trixie decides that Uncle Monty is an imposter who is behind the money from the Lynches', and announced his belief way too loud. Trixie quickly comes under intense scrutiny by Uncle Monty and becomes very fearful for their safety. Trixie lost friendship after Monty Di says Di falsehoods about Trixie. Honey involved, and Trixie is determined to prove the truth of Uncle Monty. research Trixie, the serious threat, and unexpectedly Mart comes to rescue Trixie Trixie and helps to get the proof you need to prove that Uncle Monty is actually an impostor. # 5 The Mystery Off Glen Road during a fierce hurricane, the Bob-Pentecost
