Do you cook for your dog (s)?
Or do you feed canned Dog Food and treats? Or both? I've never cooked for the same dog, but I found a fairly extensive cookbook (100 recipes), which is free to download and says it can be copied and given away - http://necessaryvirtues.com/recommends/dog-recipes Some of the delights that look kind of interesting, like the liver and Brownies Try Turkey, but I'm not sure you are inspiring enough to make me feel like wasting time. So, what to cook for your dog (s)? Do you think dogs know the difference? Do you have a favorite recipe to share?
Actually I do - differentiate various types of cookies that they go crazy over! Here's a recipe: 1 C rolled oats 1 tablespoon sugar 1 egg, beaten 3 / 4 C cornmeal 2 tsp. 1 c. chicken broth grated cheese 1 C boiling water 1 / 2 c. skim milk 1 / 3 c. Veg. 3 C oil Mix the oats, wheat flour, oil and water let stand 10 minutes. Sit in all but the flour and mix well. Add flour one cup at a time the formation of stiff dough. Knead for 3-4 minutes. Roll out the dough and cut with cutters. Bake for 35-45 minutes. (Also add garlic to this) Liver Cookies Puree 1 pounds beef liver, add 1 pound of spinach and mashed potatoes. Add 2 eggs, 3 tsp. minced garlic and mix. Att 4 -5 cups oats 1 cup at a time to make thick paste. Scoop and click on the jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes until the surface is dry. Remove from oven and cut into squares. Remove from pan with spatula and turn upside down in another pan and put back in oven for 15 minutes. Turn off the oven and cook for 1 hour. Out tough cookies. If you want a tough cookie, and cook in the oven longer to dry.
