Can you teach your dog too many tricks?
I have a ten month old dachshund, she knows how to sit, lay down, come, and I just taught her to "sit pretty" or "beg". She picks things up very quickly, but I'm not sure how fast I can begin to teach her another one without her forgetting everything. Can she learn too many where she forgets some??
as long as you use them regularly with her then no she shouldn't forget them. But you don't want to go too quickly with her. I have a Maltese who picks things up very quickly as well, but I make sure she really has the old ones down before I move on to the next. You just have to make sure you are going through the old tricks and commands regularly too like you would with a new one. And when you do teach new ones don't rush through it to add something else even if she is picking up things fast. Go at a comfortable pace between teaching new tricks, but I don't think you can ever teach too many.
It's great that your taking the time to teach her so many things!
