new puppy vaccines?
Me and my boyfriend just adopted a puppy from a rescue. The rescue woman did not know how old he is, he assumed that was of 3-4 months and is a chow mix (not sure of the mix though). When we succeed, we realized that he had fleas, so I know I'm going to have to get medication for it (we have a flea collar and dust, we see no fleas, but it itches so I think the drug could be as irritating). Also need to get started on heartguard know, but what other vaccines are needed. Banfield I have an appointment next week and after all the criticism negative, I make sure I know what I'm doing so it does not get more vaccines, or any other unnecessarily just to increase the cost. We live in Raleigh and jogging around the park frequently, but it is an indoor dog otherwise. The woman also said you need to get drenched again, he has been twice already.
Distemper, hepatitis, adenovirus, parainfluenza, parvovirus (also known as DHPP or 5-way vaccine.) The puppy is also the age enough for a rabies vaccine, which is required by law in most states.
