Is it normal for an American Eskimo dog to shed so you can see his skin?
My dog recently started her first coat of shedding the summer, and his coat getting so thin, you can see his skin. Is this normal or possibly and endocrine or lacking vitamin problem?
I have an Akita also "blows" their coat twice a year. I've never seen skin. It must blow into pieces and when the hair comes out, there must be new skin underneath. This does not sound right. I would contact your veterinarian to discuss. Good Luck!
