Xanax Is it safe for a dog if used short term to a very low dose?

If your veterinarian prescribes, yes. Xanax can be safely used to treat anxiety in dogs. It is best used as a supplement to training, former calm enough to get the dog to learn traveling in a car, then taper off the RX.
