Keeping our pets safe
The proverb "a dog's life" does not mean what it used to. Today, animals of all kinds are protected by the state and the Federal Reserve. laws and have been granted special rights to help protect and keep them healthy. With the stamp of this milestone anniversary, the group is launching what it calls its most aggressive initiative to date, working town by town to turn the U.S. in a Community "Integrity." The program is designed to bring community organizations together to help ensure that no adoptable pet is euthanized for reasons other than behavior or medical problems.
The new initiative includes increasing the demand for adoptable shelter animals, while at the same time reducing the number of unwanted litters-de birth. In addition, the organization "Meet-Your-Match" program is being renewed and better new pair with the owners of pet dogs and cats shelter. The group tolerant plans to expand its Law Enforcement Department also allows for more investigations and arrests by the barbarity of the animals.
"While our 140th year is gearing up to be one of extraordinary growth, it is our sincerest hope the more we get from our date of birth, the more we be a partnership approach is no longer necessary, that our work have been disseminated in society to the extent that the rights of pets will be second nature for all, "said Ed Sayres, president and CEO, the ASPCA.
There are more than 140 million pet cats and dogs in the U.S.
