What to do in Summerville, South Carolina
Whether you are looking for something to do or simply trying to learn more about the area, find below 7 Things to do in Summerville, South Carolina.
1) Shopping: Some of the best shops will Azalea Square, which is just off Highway 17 (also called North Main Street). This outdoor mall is like the version of Summerville Towne Center in the bush. Pleasant. For shopping, you'll find everything from Dick's Sporting Goods to Ross and TJ Maxx, Petsmart, World Market, Pier 1 Imports, and more. If you're hungry, you can get a burrito at Moe's Southwest Grill, a sandwich at McAlister Deli, O'Charley a hamburger or a steak at Logan's Road House. If there is still room after that, you can stop by Marble Slab Creamery ice cream - all in the Azalea Square Shopping Centre.
2) Visit the center of Summerville: Summerville has a very pleasant environment and the center with shops and restaurants. This section has a very different feeling from the center Azalea Square trade is completely new (and quite large). The middle section of Summerville has more locally owned shops and restaurants. You can even go "antiques" (Looking at the antique shops) in the center of Summerville.

5) Spend time outdoors: Charleston is one of the best systems of county parks in South Carolina. The two options closer to Summerville Caw Caw are Center and Wannamaker. It is a unit of 30 to 40 minutes of the Nature and History Caw Caw Interpretive Center in Ravenel. This nature center used to be home to rice plantations, but is now part of Charleston County Park system and is open to the public. There are more than 6 miles of walking trails, including bridges high. You can view wildlife, visit the rice fields of the 18th century, or canoeing. And if you do not want to drive all the way to Caw Caw, you can go just 10 minutes the North Charleston Wannamaker County Park, with 2 playgrounds, intramural fields, a dog park, picnic sites, and over a thousand hectares of forests and preserved wetlands. Admission to both parks is a dollar per person, so these options are on the cheapest entertainment you can find.
6) Flowertown Festival: Every year in April, hosted by the Summerville Flowertown Festival. This is the largest arts and crafts festival in the state. The festival center named after the numerous azaleas, which are always in full bloom during the festival weekend.
7) Francis Beidler Forest: This is owned by the National Audubon Society was established to preserve a mature swamp forest. Cypress find bald trees that are about a thousand years! There are plenty of hiking trails and guided tours and canoe. The park is 15,000 hectares and is a 30 minute drive from Summerville.
