Many search engines generate lists of what people seek. Topics may be popular keyword phrases for a certain period of time, or actual searches in real time.

Ask IQ displays the top searches for the last week, what people are looking for in the news, and the most popular films. You can write articles on any of these issues.
2.) Google Zeitgeist
Google Zeitgeist provides a weekly list of top searches. Also can access information for previous months or years, or a list of popular searches by country.
3.) Dogpile Search Spy
With Dogpile Search Spy can choose with or without filter search results to see what they are looking in real time. The words and phrases represent a cross section of interests the people, instead of a list of the most popular.
4.) Google Trends
