Many dog owners get lucky and, despite the errors that know how to do, they find a trained dog. Moreover, some owners dogs need the help of a dog trainer or dog behavior counselor. Even a small number of those pet owners can become desperate when everything they do, even under professional advice, it seems pointless.

The most difficult cases to crack housetraining are the dogs by mistake have become a 'reverse' trained by their owners. 'Reverse' housetraining occurs when dogs have been allowed to go to the bathroom inside the house and then strengthened without realizing it. Another example is difficult to correct housetraining puppies includes pet stores, puppy mills and backyard breeders, where puppies are raised in content, unsanitary conditions. Since they have no choice these dogs eat and sleep in the same area use as their bathroom.

Therefore, when you bring a new puppy or rescue dog home, or if you have an older dog that is not yet domesticated, follow our "Ten Rules housetraining" and should be relieved (no pun intended) to find in ten days you have a trained dog.

  1. The first thing to do before starting your housetraining plan is to ensure that your home is free of stains and odors from urine residual. The black light will reveal the age spots so you can effectively clean and remove. There are many very effective in cleaning stains or odor available on the market.
  2. If you do not already have one, buy a good quality cable box that is large enough for your dog to stand up, lie down and turn around in. Place the box in a quiet but not isolated part of your home. There are also three Kongs (chew toys you can stuff with treats), a squeaky toy, a nylon collar and leash six feet nylon.
  3. Develop and follow a schedule of 24 hours of management of potty breaks. This is critical because it does not your puppy has an accident. 5. Keep a daily journal in time to feed your dog and bathroom habits. Note when your dog urinates and defecates. Enter the exact time your dog eats and other treats are given throughout the day. Your journal will help determine how long after eating and drinking your dog usually has to use the bathroom. You can use this information to adjust your schedule if necessary.

Give your dog Kong is filled with delicious mental enrichment while in its case. Your dog should be supervised 100% of the time during the training period home. When the dog is tied to you, watch for signs of needing to go to the bathroom.
