What is a natural treatment for a dog that itches terribly?
I can not seem to find anything to help stop the itching Goliath. I I fed him fresh natural diet now and seems to be improving, but not stop snacking new hair growth. I'm using tea tree oil and oil olive skin. He is allergic to most dog shampoos and products.
Do not make my mistake and let the vet steroids without educating properly on them .. My dog is in renal failure because of the steroids prescribed for itching. Kidney failure is a terrible thing, usually quickly progressive and eventually fatal. Fish oil in the diet is recommended for the itching. Now I have a holistic vet I wish I had found much earlier. I was advised that could have helped a lot through the diet. His home-made diet (for kidney failure) is the only thing keeping her going right now. And it's a very demanding routine. Includes organic safflower oil, which seems to have eased the itching. You can search the Internet for holistic practitioners. It's a little expensive at first, but not really in the end.
