Is it normal to leave your dog in a cage while you go to work?
I've never had a pet, so I was wondering if this was a practice common, or if you think it is animal abuse. Someone is going to work, leaving your dog in a cage (from 8:30 am until 17:00) because they are afraid the dog chew the house. Is this normal?
I'm sure some people do. I would not do that to any of my dogs. My dogs have the run of the house when I go and behave. They are trained to hold it until I get home, but also toys and chew things to keep them occupied.
