Dog hair ... eruptions? Help?
I started a dog grooming job several weeks ago and since then have come out in rashes all over my arms and hands. My boss says it is a reaction because my skin is not accustomed to shampoos. 6 shampoos and conditioners use one. Did any other dog groomers or pet owner had this problem? (Rashes in yourself, no dogs) If yes, what do you think would be the best way to get rid of it, and itch? I took a Telfast (compressed antihistamine) and put some cortisone cream but there is nothing better. Nobody used gloves at work, so my skin get used to it too? Or should I try the gloves? Any help is appreciated!
My mother has been training dogs for 25 years now, when it began It found that some products actually reacted with the skin, but not harm the animals.
