How do you groom a Siberian Husky for shows?
I'm not looking for basic, pet grooming instructions... I already know how to do that. I'm looking for technical information on the grooming necessary for competitions. Thanks.
Siberians are a wash-and-wear breed. They require a bath, and drying with a good quality forced-air blowdryer (not your hair dryer).
You can use a whitening shampoo (not too harsh -- #1 All Systems makes a decent one) to brighten up their whites. And you can trim the fur around the pads of their feet, if you wish. You can also remove their whiskers, if you insist.
No other trimming is permitted.
