Etiquette tips pet and stay at Holiday Pet Friendly
More families are choosing to vacation with their pets in the company vacation rentals environment. Vacation rentals offer all the comforts of home and is a destination in themselves. Ranging from secluded mountain home to houses tropical beach, from small bungalows to 4,000 small log cabin square feet!
However, one thing they all have in common is that holiday home owners have opened their homes to you and your pet so it is important to follow your pet specific "rules of the house." Besides the house rules, there are some additional tips to ensure you and your pet are welcome to come back!
- Do not allow pets, furniture and beds. In rare occasions when the holiday pets on furniture, cover furniture make sure your pet will be allowed.
- Do not leave your pet alone for an extended period of time. Even the best performing pets can bark and become destructive if a new environment. For short trips, can help turn on the TV or radio to keep your pet comfortable. If your pet is crate trained, they bring their cases together to let them in while you are away.
- If your plans required to be away for a long period of time, obtain information about local pet sitters or doggie daycare.
- Always keep your pet on a leash unless the law permits otherwise.
- Always clean up after your pet after it launched bathroom.
- Place litter boxes in the bathroom for easier cleaning.
- Do not allow your pet wet and dirty in the home. If hiking or swimming out, make sure rinse and dry your pet off before letting them inside. wet dogs do not smell so good!
- Bring old towels for cleaning and drying your pet out.
- Make sure your pet is free of fleas and ticks. Treat your pet with flea and tick prevention prior to arrival.
- Clean Start. It's a good idea to make sure that Fido and Fluffy are clean and fresh before they start growing on carpets on vacation.
- Make your pet feel at home carrying his bed and favorite toys.
- Take "collar-house" outside.
Vacation rentals are great options to vacation with the family, including Fido and fluffy. Following these simple guidelines will help ensure a happy and safe stay with your pet ... and also ensure you and your four-legged family are welcome back!
