Those of us who have ever gone on holiday with children young to remember how we became subjected to the horrors of the misery of packing them all into a small motel room with two queen beds, a bathroom and a TV single set. The kids had a blast, but was not really a relaxing holiday for us adults.

Fortunately, our children are grown and living on their own. Still take family holidays together and we're all adults who sleep in separate rooms. My children seem to have given up the fight against pillow, throwing water balloons out the window and pressing all the elevator buttons to frustrate the other hotel / motel guests. Moreover - in separate rooms - not is paying close attention to extracurricular activities more.

Another good thing about having older children is being able to get out more often, couple or with friends and stay in nice quiet places that fortunately no food service to families and pets. Inns Bed and Breakfast (B & B) sells family romance, luxury, epicurean pleasure and relaxation. That is, of course, if they are marketing themselves, and it probably should be doing.

When "Going Away" feels more like "Coming Home"

Our friends, Bob and Lynn Griffin's own title = "Walkabout Inn> Australian Walkabout Inn in Lampeter, Pennsylvania. Where is Lampeter, Pennsylvania some may ask? Very However, we did not know a place that existed before encountered in the "Walkabout Inn", while searching the Web a romantic getaway with some old world charm, a cozy fireplace and yes ... the right whirlpool suite. All these are absolute requirements for my wife and I, of course. These are things I have never at any Econo Lodge that once stood in with the children.

The "Australia Walkabout Inn (also known as Bob and Lynn place) and is a welcoming comfortable B & B right in the heart of the corn field and windmill-laden Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Lampeter is only a couple of miles outside the center of the city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is a nondescript little town far enough away from the highly commercial Route 30 in the House Amish Barn and a backup of a Target store retail. Turns out I got my GPS to Lampeter and there was the Australian Walkabout Inn when it finally arrived in heaven.

The problem for owners and guests is that the "Walkabout" is not really a very obvious location and handled very little attention. This is really a good thing for peace and quiet fans seeking B & B, but also a slight impediment to the marketing efforts of Bob and Lynn. Ironically, they have been able to "turn a positive into a positive" for building a strong following of the inn on the Web.

If Your business ignores the Web - Ignore the web of your business

My wife and I have been visiting the "Walkabout Inn" for nearly ten years and under three different owners. They were all great people, but Griffin seems to be doing the best job of making your B & B very well known and respected throughout the region due to BOTH focused its online marketing strategies and aggressive activities online.

Lynn and Bob seems to be doing everything right with your Inn's website and are supporting your web site with great force through the use of marketing to social media. Unfortunately for my wife and I, it is now increasingly difficult get a suite in the "Walkabout" because it is almost always booked - even in the offseason. People just love it - not only for comfort nice, but mainly because everyone has come to know and love Bob and Lynn Griffin. Lynn has been very successful in creating a virtual "Australian Walkabout Inn" on your Facebook and stays in regular contact with customers every day. People do not go to the "Walkabout." Return home to the "Walkabout."

Unfortunately, not all owners of B & B is the knowledge of web marketing as Bob and Lynn Griffin. In fact, a director of Avatar Business Intelligence recently shared the following line in relation to social media and Web site failures of many of its customers Rural marketing Breakfast:

It is a reality today that a website is more important to prospective customers than it is for you. Just consider the following perceptions it creates for those who come into the B & B for the first time:

• If you do not have a website, many customers do not take it seriously. A well designed website presents evidence of his business acumen and staying power.
• If your site was created for the advancement of reflection on understanding and meeting your customer needs, those who come to be seen Inn as a leader in its category, capable to create a memorable experience for you and your partner.
• Your website will help your future guests in locating the two on the Web and its location physics - even in Lampeter, Pennsylvania.
