Can a person be a socialist and pro-capitalism, at the same time?
I consider myself a libertarian democratic socialist but I understand that capitalism is a necessary evil because I realize that capitalism has brought many great innovations for the world. It has its pros and cons, but more good than harm if regulated so that abuses do not occur. My hope is that one day maybe not in my life, but sometime in the 22 century are world would have evolved to a point where there is no need for "dog eat dog" competition because all the material things do not require human labor. Nanobots manufacture everything we need. 100% of the jobs and services would be all done by volunteers. Sorry for typos
Not really. Socialism, in my opinion at least, is the benefit to all. No matter what color, sex, age, ... you have. People on profits. Capitalism, however, is selfish you're just dear when you're rich, if you can not get with the flow, being an outcast and a pariah. Profit before people. Only those who can pay, get needed services the most fundamental of all. Capitalism, at it's worst, privatization, public service denied cheap and universal, a more expensive, however, not So best system for a group of elites who can afford it, provided that PROFIT is made.
