Dog Harness .. this. guys?
For dogs pulling a sled is a difference between a harness that I could buy at a pet store company, or is it a special harness to pull?
A question of mine .... An X-back harness is what we use for sledding, carting and scooters. Depending on the breed of Dog Harnesses are also hybrids and hybrid urban route X-Backs. There are also H-back, well, it really depends on your dogs running style. Now, some owners have pre-made harnesses that are very good. Mountain Ridge has harnesses that are pre-made and are great, I have a game for my team, too I have the belts of the Alps and Outfitters, I like both the manufacturers of harnesses and my staff has no preference between the two, unless they have used other providers team and these two are for me I like to use. You can also measure and custom make you what you have Alpine, Mountain Ridge does too although only had the usual order, as my child was smaller than its x-small my children fell into their pre-made sizes easily. Everyone I know takes precedence staff where they get their harnesses and unless you live near a real mushing owner you have to order by phone or Internet. Some dogs only have different sizes and therefore do not always conform to some standard harness length. Now that the dogs name embroidered on the harness will cost a couple of dollars, which is what I do because all my dogs have the same color of the harness and make it easy to distinguish and when it is running great teams can make a difference. That is also why I love my Mountain Ridge harnesses too as their pre-made harnesses each size has a different color strip again I have only look into the harness and know who is going through.
