Could you recommend a small breed of dog that barks a lot or anything?

I am looking for a small dog (a Maltese or Chihuahua) that is fairly quiet, not eating, chewing or scratching your furniture, do not leak, do not leave a lot of hair or at least, friendly, cheerful, playful and very easy to train. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

It is impossible to get a dog that does not make noise. All dogs bark, and the two types of faults (such as the Basenji) tends to howl. Small dogs are more likely to bark. But has to examine the reasons why dogs bark. Normally, a dog will bark when excited, when want to play, and when you are alert to danger, like when someone comes to the door. A Barker problem, one that barks all day, bark for different reasons-the main reason be because it's boring. If you have one happy healthy dog is well socialized, exercised every day, and is treated as a family member (though not in decline and believed to be the head of the house), then you should not have a problem with excessive barking. The puppies have to chew when teething, but dogs most adults do not tear your furniture when they are happy. But again, if you get bored, this behavior is likely to develop. It may be a better option for you to adopt an older dog, or even an older dog whose energy levels are lower because they arent going to require much like walking, training, etc.
