I was walking my dog at night in my small town with almost no traffic ... and I was using ...?
... A white winter would coat.Why a police officer pull up next to me and says ... "I did not see you ... next time you need to wear light colors." Hmm ... in years -?? Was until I'm not sure if it was sarcasm or maybe he could not even see what I wore. Yes, there is snow, but it's clear the street. First ... I am not criticizing the officer.I just thought it was funny what he said. Second, the only reason I mentioned that my town has almost no traffic, is that if it did, surely take more precautions ... as taking a flashlight every time he walked, etc.I usually have a flashlight with me that glow when a car comes ... but tonight I found the batteries were dead.
The officer, concerned about their safety, did his job and told you that you were not as visible using those colors. His suggestion that you wear something more visible (colors, reflective patches, reflective collar or tag on your dog, etc) it seems that life-saving advice, not a reason to find fault in it. The other officer's insulting answers are very, very, stupid and inconsiderate. Take seriously your suggestion ... not be the first dog-walking pedestrian death due to poor visibility. .
